Theology Committee Member

Position Description

The Theology Committee is seeking 3 members. We are looking for expertise in theological/religious studies, ministry, philosophy, or academics/education in the area of religion. Also beneficial is a broad knowledge and understanding of the religious movements in America today, particularly, those that have or are seeking political power. Serving on the Committee will include duties helping to create reforms, advise upon policy, and suggest budgets specific to committees’ oversight. The expertise, direction, and insight shared are valuable in moving forward with the structure of this party and enriching our platform.

Position Duties

The committees will perform research and draft policy proposals upon researching and debating issues that need to be defined in our platform. The committees would then draft policy statements to define their position on any current events or legislation within their domain.

The meetings and their regularity would depend on what needs to be addressed and how often disagreements need compromise. Much of the communication would be done asynchronously via computer since we are a nationwide organization.
