The Economic Advisory Committee is the main resource of the Executive Board for information, interpretation, and opinion needed to define Party policy on Economic issues. We will initially need to fill 4-5 positions on the committee.
Responsibilities of the Economic Advisory Committee include: Compare/contrast impact of other parties’ economic policies. Analyze and provide opinion on current events from an economic perspective. Work with other Advisory Committees on issues which have economic components to ensure consistency across party policies. Research current state, and proposed changes of financial regulation. Provide analysis, and recommend support, opposition, or modification of regulation. Research and analyze mortgage fraud related issues. Examine impact on finance industry and individual households. Research and analyze corporate and personal bankruptcy related issues including recent changes to laws, impact of student loans, and other non-dischargeable debt from a micro-economic perspective. Research and analyze impact of trade agreements.
- Ability to navigate and use Facebook effectively
- A resident of the state he/she represents
- A member of his/her NAP state chapter
- 18 years of age or older
- Willing to complete a non-disclosure agreement*
Committee members will be assigned an area of focus based on member interests and committee needs. Members are expected to provide a weekly update on their area of focus
No required proficiencies.
*Completion of a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) is required in order to protect the confidential information of our membership, as all in leadership positions might receive access to the membership roster. The NAP takes its members’ privacy very seriously.
